Happy Thanksgiving!!

 This last week was so sweet! So we had Thanksgiving with the district which was way sweet and when I mean we had thanks giving- I mean we had Thanksgiving. We got everything turkey, potatoes, gravey, and pies! I got to make the turkey and it went surprisingly well. We also played chubby bunny and my companion can do something so holy. He can fit 5 of the mega jumbo marshmallows in his mouth all at one. It impressive but also completely horrifying and as a father I could be prouder. I also went biking in a rain storm on exchanges with Elder Brinkman this week. I was so wet I think I could have poured water out of my shoe like turning on a hose. Which was way fun! Can't wait for it to rain again (sarcastically) but it did lead to a really good lesson with a recent convert. Love you all stay safe!

 Subject: A weird interaction

Hey everybody- not much happened this last week, but I did have a really weird interaction with this woman over the phone. So we called her and first off she just went off about how God is good. I was like yep you are totally right about that. Then she was like do you know the god of "Pay-sha" and I was like no and she was like you don't and I was like no should I and she was like there are many Gods and I was like oh really and then. She still couldn't get her head around that we didn't know the God of Pay-sha. Then she was like it's in the bible and told us to go look it up. So she hung up and I tried for like 10 minutes couldn't find a thing. So we weren't sure if we were supposed to call her back or not. Then we got a call back from her and she was like did you find it. Side note she is Nigerian so its incredible hard to understand her. Where I was like no then she said go with me to Daniel 10 where I did. She asked me to start reading from verse 13. So I did I read almost the entire chapter and she was like do you understand what you are reading and I was like yeah. Daniel is getting an answer to his prayer. She was like no but yes. She then proceeded to talk about the god of pay-sha was making it so he could receive an answer. At this moment I realized she was saying Persia not pay-sha. Which I was still confused. Then she was like we are all gods but we are small gods and there are evil gods as well. Then she ended we said thank you so much for talking to us tonight. Then we hung up and I laughed. Then she immediately called us back asking us to send our number to her so she can send us scriptures. And so far we have gotten 4 paragraphs of scripture references. Yeah I don't read much! So that's about it and please notice that the Taco counter went up substantially! Love you all have a great week!

🕰An Eternity of Silence🕰

 Ok, this week was the last week of the transfer and I get to stay here in H4! Which is sick- I get to stay with my son and see him finish his training and his transfer. We helped the man from last week finish fixing his car which was fun- I had oil up my arms by the end. Yesterday Elder Woodrum left. I can't really think of much that happened this last week. Oh, I went on exchanges this last week where I spent a day in a vietnamese area.  I spent the day thinking there is no way this is a real language. It sounds so crazy and all the same. We were teaching an English class where I was like I think I can help because I have taught English before. I was VERY VERY wrong and to make matters worst he asked if one of them would say the closing pray. So I am sitting there not knowing what happened so they all lower their heads and so I did too.⏱ I closed my eyes and sat the for about a minute. Nothing so far had been said so I went down for another minute came back up for air still nothing- everyone still has their eyes close so I went down again for 45 seconds came back then Elder Wolfenbarger opened his eyes. I look at him like what the f*tch is going on? He looks at me like why are you confused and my brain is like I don't even know if we are praying right now. He could have said Elder Holmgren is going to say the prayer and I was the one being awkward. Then another minute passes and the lady opened her eyes and I am thinking I thought she was saying the prayer but now we are just waiting on the other guy to open his eyes another minute goes by he opens his eyes and Elder Wolfenbarger says are we all good‍♂️ (RUN). They both said thanks and get up and leave. To say the least I was confused. So thanks everyone for reading hope you have a great week

A GUN!🔫 and lemonade🍋

 Ok, so this week was fun, but really kinda weird. So we get a lot of referrals from this one member from the English ward who is hands out referrals like he's Oprah. ‍♂️You get a referral and you get a referral‍♂️ (the missionary crowd goes wild). So he gave us this one so we went and knocked on his door. We sat there for like 2 minutes and we were like maybe no one is home. And at that exact moment the door bursts open and a man holding a glock comes running out the door. He then points it at Elder Woodrum then at me then he says oh crap it's the missionaries. Then he said sorry but I am busy right now, come back tomorrow. Which we did and helped fix his car and now we are teaching him about the restoration. On Friday this week some of the other Elders asked if we wanted to do a lemonade stand with them. So we said of course and told them we could only stay for about an hour. So the time comes and we show up and we are standing in a parking lot doing nothing for like 15 minutes, then the sisters from our district show up and I was like I thought they said they didn't want to come to lemonade stand   All they were doing was getting gas and saw us and they were wondering why on earth we were standing in an empty parking lot. Then everyone else came but we had to leave in like 10 minutes from then and they were like we kinda need to do something else too. So we did what any sane person would do and sat down in an empty parking lot and proceeded to drink all the lemonade. Which I will tell you when you drink 23 glasses you start to not feel so well🤮. And I still don't know if they finished it all. I made my contribution and then we rode home on bikes not feeing so well, but no one threw up from what I heard.  👻Happy Halloween💀

Hey everyone! Hope you had an amazing Halloween and hope you all hit the right houses to get the best bang for your buck. I went on exchanges on Halloween.  We had a great time and we hit the absolute best jackpot you could possibly get. So we went to the ward trunk or treat- it was pretty good! We walked around and  I got to meet the members dressed up like Bobby Flay (and to keep with the theme my family went as) or at least the missionary who had 5 minutes and still needed to be in regular missionary attire. Then as we were leaving the primary president said hey we are going to drop by all the extra food to you guys. The food was Chick-fil-A which we somehow ended up with 43 three sandwiches. So I would say we had quite a haul for Halloween. I hope you had as much luck as we did. We also had a great week here in H4- we taught some really powerful lessons this week and we are hoping that we can get some things out of it and get the ball rolling.
